Dead By Daylight Borrowed Time Duration Extended

Dead by Daylight: Borrowed Time Duration Extended

Patch Update Adjusts Perk Timer

Borrowed Time, a Unique Perk exclusive to Bill Overbeck's Prestige levels, has received a duration adjustment in the latest patch. The perk's duration has been increased from 12 seconds to 15 seconds, effectively granting an additional 12 meters of safe distance from the unhooking location.

Unintentional Advantage

However, players have expressed concern over the potential exploitation of this extended duration. They argue that the additional time could be abused by cheaters, allowing Survivors to travel significantly farther while protected by the perk.

Addressing Concerns

Behaviour Interactive has acknowledged these concerns and emphasized that Borrowed Time is not intended to function as a means of extending the distance between unhooks. The extended duration is intended to allow Survivors more time to reach safety or find a hiding spot.

The team is actively investigating potential exploits and will take action to prevent any unfair advantage from being gained through the use of Borrowed Time.

Other Notable Perks

In addition to Borrowed Time, other perks that impact unhooking have received attention in the patch.

  • Off the Record: This perk has a tell that alerts the Killer to the Survivor's location, but it allows them to avoid the Killer's detection for a brief period after being unhooked.
  • We'll Make It: This perk reduces the Killer's bloodlust progression and increases the Survivor's healing speed, making it a valuable tool in certain situations.
